FROM VUCA TO VUCAO

Our world is seen today as VUCA – Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous. It is as well Opportune in a sense that they are many opportunities out there waiting to be caught like Pokemons. Read this post to learn more about this. Our world is currently known as VUCA, standing for Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous. Idiscussed this topic in a previous POST and the concept is also at the heart of the book TEAM OF TEAMS written by General S. McCHRYSTAL. In brief, it means that the world is now much more interconnected (thus interdependent) and thatthings can evolve much more faster than before. Consequently, there are also much more opportunities out there. The point is to be able toidentify and to seize them quickly. Here are a few key points. A strong vision Always have a vision. It will be your North Star. Refer to this POST for the criteria to be met for a powerful vision. Make sure it is resilient and feel free to update it from time to time if need be. If your vision is not that clear yet, be curious and spend time exploring new avenues. You will most probably collect some information that will complement your current views. There are also some specific mental techniques such as SILVA ULTRAMIND SYSTEM that we can use together for further clarification. Knowing what you don’t want is also powerful to indirectly guide you away from a wrong direction. SAR Your vision will then turn on your RETICULAR ACTIVATING SYSTEM (RAS) that works like a radar and will help identify the opportunities. Let’s say that you plan to buy a white Audi car. From that moment, you will start noticing more and more white Audi cars. It is not because their number is increasing, it is just because you are noticing them now. Choose your relationships Talk about your goals with kind and knowledgeable people. This will turn on their RAS for you. Keep cool Take some time to sit back and relax. If you have the nose on the grindstone, you are very unlikely to see the opportunity. Mental and intuition Listen to both your mental and your intuition to seize the opportunity quickly. It can easily disappear or be caught by someone else. So, it comes for being prepared and ready to react fast. I hope these few lines will help see our world more positively. Don’t hesitate tocontact me should you want to reach your next level, whether in your personaland/or business life, and take action now.
